What is the Accommodation Recognition Payment?

The ARP is a government scheme paying hosts €800/month (tax-free) for housing Ukrainian refugees. No rental contract required. Contributions to food or utilities are fine.

Eligibility:

  • Must be 18+ and own or rent the property
  • Commit to 6 months of accommodation
  • No Garda vetting required
  • Accommodation must meet basic safety standards

Payment Info:

  • €800/month per property
  • Paid by bank transfer (EFT)
  • Backdated to 4 March 2022 if eligible
  • Not counted in means-tested welfare payments

How to Apply:

Submit your application via MyWelfare.ie. You’ll need PPS numbers of those hosted, accommodation details, and your bank info.
